Karaku/Shopping Guide

(1) Member Registration

At Karaku, we request that customers register as members when purchasing products in order to make shopping as smooth as possible. It is possible to shop on the website without registering as a member.
We also request that customers who have a customer number from the conventional paper catalog register as new web members when shopping on the website.

(2) How to Order

Orders are made using the "Shopping Cart" and "Add from the Catalog" functions.

(3) Using the Shopping Cart

1. Add products to the shopping cart

Enter half-size characters in the product quantity field on the product page and click the "Add to Cart" button. The names and prices of products that you have ordered, the total order amount, and the contents of the shopping cart will be displayed.

2. Login

Clicking the "Purchase Procedures" button displays the login screen. Please enter your user ID and password and proceed if you are already a Karaku web member. If this is the first time you are shopping or you are not yet a web member, click the "Member Registration" button and register as a web member. You can also shop on this website without registering as a member. In this case, click the "Purchase Procedures" button and proceed to the purchase page.
* If you do not register as a member, you will have to enter your address each time you make a purchase from the website.

3. Specify the delivery address

When logging in, you will be taken to the address confirmation screen. The registration information of the user who is logged in is displayed on the screen. If this is the address where you wish to have your order sent, then please click on "Send to the Selected Address" and proceed to the confirmation screen.
If you wish to have your order sent to a different address, then please click "Add a New Address," and after having entered the necessary details, click the "Register" button. After this, the new address will be added to your list of addresses, so please select the address where you wish to have your order sent and click "Send to the Selected Address." In this instance, the request for payment will be sent to the address of the purchaser (not that to which the order was sent). This feature can also be used to send gifts.

4. Specify the method of payment

The method of payment is displayed. Select your method of payment.
Also, if you have any enquiries, please fill in the "Other Enquiries Form."

5. Confirm the contents of your order

Confirmation for the contents of your order and delivery address will be displayed. Please check that your order details are correct, and if you wish to make any changes, please click "←Return."
Please click the Order Completion Page" button if there are no problems with your order.
When your order has been placed, you will receive an automated order confirmation mail. (In case you do not receive this email, then there is a chance that you have entered your email address incorrectly, in this case please send us an email.)
In the event that there are mistakes or you wish to make changes to your order, then please let us know by email immediately.

(4) Ordering from Paper Format Catalogs

There are some products listed in the paper catalog that are not listed on the web shop.
When ordering these types of products, please use "Order from the Catalog Form" and not the shopping cart.

(5) Points to be Aware of When Ordering

The prices displayed are not inclusive of all taxes.
Please choose your preferred item carefully when ordering products that require you to select such things as color, size, or pattern.
There are instances where the products shown in photographs are of a slightly different color to the actual product. Also, there are instances where depending on the product the color is different from that shown in photographs. Please make sure to confirm (Shopping Basket: Display Product Details).
Although we endeavor to make sure that we have sufficient levels of stock available, there are instances where we cannot fulfill orders due to products being out of stock. In this instance, we will inform you by either email or telephone.

(6) Postage

Postage and packaging are charged at the actual cost.

This is postage only by airmail. We recommend airmail, when you order vases.

(7) Delivery

Sent Directly via Parcel Post or Courier

All products are packed securely and sent directly to customers by either parcel post or courier. There are some products that are sent directly from the manufacturer. In this instance, we issue customers with a designated postal transfer form, which is sent separately.

(8) Payment

One Single Payment Before Delivery

Please remit payment to our account or by check.

(9) Returns and Exchanges

We make sure that all our products are of the highest quality. However, if there is any damage to products, they are different from those ordered, or you are not satisfied with them in any manner, then please contact us soon. You can either exchange your products for other products or return them. Please note that customers are liable to pay the cost of return postage in the event that products are being exchanged or returned due to customer's circumstances.
Please note that exchanges and returns of the following products are not accepted:

(1) Specially commissioned products (for example, products that have a name on them).
(2) Products that have been used.
(3) If 8 or more days have elapsed since the arrival of the products.
